Modalities

Bowen Therapy is a hands-on, non-invasive technique that uses myofascial manipulation to stimulate the intrinsic healing capabilities of the body. It increases circulation, stimulates the nervous and lymphatic systems, and aids in rebalancing the muscular structures of the body.
Massage is another, more recognizable hands-on modality used to relieve tension and promote circulation, relaxation, and healing. I apply biomechanics to my massage work, activating opposing muscle groups to rebalance asymmetries and restore balance to the body.

Cold laser and red light therapy utilize light spectrums which stimulate cellular regeneration. They aid in reducing inflammation, increasing cell production, and accelerating skin and soft tissue healing, as well as reducing pain. Light therapy is a soft modality that benefits all types of horses, from athletes recovering from work to seniors with joint pain. This is included in bodywork sessions for any horse that needs it.
Kinesiology tape is applied to support joints and muscles, increase circulation/reduce inflammation, and ease nerve tension. The elastic properties allow for unrestricted movement, while the adhesive and light tension create a comfortable decompression for connective tissue.
